Lovie have been producing and delivering readymix concrete for over five decades. During this time an enviable reputation for quality and customer service has been established, maintained and constantly improved.

Our production unit at Blackhills Quarry near Fraserburgh has a well equipped laboratory which ensures that our own supplied raw materials and end product are tested for compliance with all current british and European standards. Further to this third party quality assurance, i.e. real quality assurance is provided by kitemark for readymix, awarded by the British Standards Institute.

A more recent development has been the installation and commissioning of a readymix concrete batching plant at our Methlick Quarry. The new plant uses the very latest computer technology to produce concrete to the most exacting standards.

Lovie have an excellent and loyal customer base ranging from private individuals to major civil engineering contractor, who all enjoy the same superb level of customer service. Highly competent staff are available to answer queries and advise on particular materials and design specific concrete mixes, utilising their up-to-date knowledge of concrete technology. Orders are dealt with expeditiously by a large, modern of company owned 6ans 8 cubic metre capacity truck mixers, ensuring customers get delivery when they want it. Delivery and placement are further enhanced by a 7 cubic metre capacity truck fitted with a 10.5 metre long belt conveyor and by a lorry mounted concrete pump with a 34 metre placing boom.
